Mobile App Privacy Policy

Delight Student Privacy Policy

This page explains how the Delight Student Android app handles student, parent, device, notification, and school learning data.

Effective date: May 4, 2026
Applies to: Delight Student Android app only

1. What this policy covers

This Privacy Policy applies only to the Delight Student mobile application for Android. It does not cover the admin web portal, teacher web portal, office portal, attendance portal, or any separate school website unless that page directly links to this policy.

The app is used by students and parents/guardians to view school-related information such as attendance, marks, fees, timetable, notifications, PTM details, ID cards, transport information, and DPP Zone activities.

2. Who operates the app

Delight Student is operated for Delight Model School. The app is built and technically supported by DataCraft Insights.

For privacy or technical support requests, contact: info@cubitors.com. For corrections to school records, parents or students should also contact the school administration.

3. Information we collect or process

Student account information: student name, school email/user ID, admission number, class, section, date of birth, parent/guardian name, phone number, recovery email, and linked child accounts where a parent uses one app for more than one child.

School records shown in the app: attendance status and marking time, leave/absence information, late/absent fee records, fee dues and payment status, marks, exam schedules, syllabus progress, timetable, PTM details, teacher/subject details, behavior/tidiness/discipline/language/sports scores, notifications, and DPP Zone scores.

Photos and files: profile photo or ID-card photo selected from the camera or gallery, if the feature is used. The app may also generate a downloadable ID card image/PDF on the device.

Notification data: push notification token, notification delivery status, read/unread status, and notification preferences needed to send school updates to the device.

Device and log data: basic technical information such as device type, operating system, app version, IP address, error logs, and security logs needed to keep the app reliable and secure.

4. Information we do not collect

The mobile app does not collect contact lists, SMS inbox, call logs, microphone/audio recordings, advertising identifiers for ads, or the student device location.

Transport features may show school bus or route information provided by the school or its transport tracking provider. This is not the student phone location.

The app does not show third-party advertising and does not sell student or parent data.

5. How we use information

We use information to provide secure login, show student records, send school notifications, manage attendance and fee updates, display marks and exam information, support PTM communication, generate or display ID cards, and track DPP Zone learning scores.

We may use educational AI features to create summaries, learning insights, or DPP questions from school-approved material. AI processing is used only for school and learning features, not for advertising.

We use recovery emails only for account recovery, password reset links, and important account-related communication.

6. Sharing of information

Student information is shared only with authorized school roles such as administrators, teachers, office staff, and parents/guardians who are allowed to access the student account.

We may use trusted service providers for hosting, database storage, email delivery, SMS delivery, push notifications, transport display, analytics needed for school features, and AI processing. These providers are used only to operate the app and school services.

We may disclose information if required by law, school safety requirements, or to protect the security of students, parents, staff, or the app.

7. Children and parental access

The app may be used for students under the age of 13. Student accounts are created and managed by the school for educational and school administration purposes.

Parents/guardians can access the student app using the credentials provided by the school and can request correction, update, or deletion of eligible information through the school administration or the support contact listed in this policy.

If a parent recovery email is not added, password reset by email may not work. Parents may add or update the recovery email in the app where available or through the school.

8. Data retention

We keep school records for as long as needed to provide the app, maintain academic and fee records, comply with school obligations, resolve disputes, and meet legal or operational requirements.

When an account is no longer active, the school may retain historical records such as attendance, marks, fee records, and communications where required for official records. Eligible data may be deleted, corrected, or de-identified upon valid request, subject to school and legal requirements.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards such as authenticated access, encrypted HTTPS connections, access controls, server-side authorization, and secure password reset links.

No online system is completely risk-free. Users should keep login credentials private and immediately inform the school if they suspect unauthorized access.

10. User choices and controls

Users can disable push notifications from Android system settings, but doing so may stop important school updates from appearing on the device.

Users can remove or update profile photo and recovery email where the app provides that option. Parents may also contact the school for changes to official student records.

Users may request access, correction, or deletion of eligible personal information by contacting the school administration or info@cubitors.com.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when app features, legal requirements, or school processes change. The updated policy will be published on this page with a new effective date.
